Apple's latest flagship devices, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, have already hit stores last Sept. 25. However, reports from early adopters regarding an array of issues are already starting to come to light, the latest of which is the display bug that makes several applications appear zoomed in.
iPhone 6s users have flocked to Apple's support communities to gripe about the problem that crops up upon migrating from an iPhone 5, 5s and 5c to their new device.
Users reportedly noticed that particular elements of the user interface, which include the onscreen content and buttons, are cut off from the device's screen.
"I recently purchased an iPhone 6 with iOS 9 installed," writes user ebbong. "When I open the Apple wallet app, the sides of the screen are cut off like it is zoomed in. I cannot find a setting to remedy."
Another user, Fantafey, has also tried various ways to resolve the problem. The user says they updated to iOS 9.0.1 and reset all the device's setting hoping to solve the issue, but none of these procedures worked.
The bug is specifically experienced when using the native apps, including Weather, Wallet, Watch, Calculator as well as Health Apps.
Users can work around the issue, according to a report, by turning on the Display Zoom feature in the Settings app. Users simply need to go to Settings > Accessibility > Zoom and toggle the Zoom feature.
This works as a temporary solution, causing the affected applications to display normally. However, this workaround leaves the rest of the device zoomed in.
Another solution is to set the iPhone 6s up as a new device. However, users need to go through the process of manually setting up their devices to resolve the problem.
Meanwhile, testers of iOS 9.1 beta 3 update note that this particular issue has been resolved. A report speculates that Apple may also roll out a fix for the problem before the official release of the iOS 9.1.
We earlier reported that users of the new Apple flagship smartphones have noted that their device are randomly powering off for no clear reason. A poll indicates that iPhone 6s owners and those individuals who are on iOS 9.0.1 are highly affected.
