Apple is synonymous with svelte devices and sleek designing, and so the company decided to take its skills a step further and help new friend Microsoft. How? By redesigning the company's Windows logo.
Did we mention Microsoft did not request this assistance and Apple did the Windows logo redesigning on its own accord? For those thinking Microsoft owes Apple one, take a look at the logo below and you may just change your mind.
For some inexplicable reason, Apple has chosen to come up with its own variant of the Windows logo. As can be espied on its support page, the Windows logo from Apple sits next to the iCloud.com logo. The support page is to aid people who are looking to install iCloud apps on Windows.
The strange-looking Windows logo which is on Apple's website was first spotted by Szifon, a Hungarian tech blog, which shared the same on Facebook. It has allegedly been live since May 25 this year.
It is unclear if Apple is intentionally trolling Microsoft with the oddball logo. Apple's logo of Windows makes it not-so-subtly apparent that it is a window that it is referring to.
Considering Microsoft and Apple have partnered for the Office apps (and the latter's iPad Pro's Smart Keyboard seems inspired by the Surface), it is strange that the Cupertino company would pull a fast one on the former. Could the redesign be Apple's way of refusing to display a competitor's logo?
We highly doubt it, but a minuscule possibility exists that Microsoft has an unannounced logo for the Apple-specific products to distinguish from its current offerings.
Apple and Microsoft are yet to comment on the redesigned Windows logo.
