Unreal Engine 4 can create some truly impressive visuals. We've seen it time and time again — most recently by fans who have recreated some of the most beloved Legend of Zelda games of all time in the engine with some truly stunning results.
Now CryZENx, whom we last featured for their Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask demo, is back with yet another gorgeous project for fans to drool over — and this time, it stars a certain Sith lord from a galaxy far, far away.
Enter Darth Vader. CryZENx put this demo together by taking the Darth Vader model from Soul Calibur IV and modifying it to work in the Unreal Engine 4, adding new animation in the process. The demo takes place on Epic's Ice Land Infinity Blade map for some seriously cool scenery.
The particle effects are perhaps the most striking. Each swipe of Vader's red lightsaber emits a shower of red sparks that light up the surrounding environment. It makes for a perfect outcome when combined with the snowy, misty ruins of the Ice Land map. You could almost pretend the ruins are those of the ancient Sith, as Vader searches for long-lost dark side secrets.
Better yet, players can try out the demo for themselves by downloading it here. You can watch the demo in action below.
It's been a long time since we've been able to play as Darth Vader in a video game. If you simply can't wait to go to town on some Rebel scum as Darth Vader in Star Wars Battlefront, this demo should hold you over.
