One Fan Is So Excited For 'Fallout 4,' He Built His Own Vault To Play It In

There are fans, and then there are fans like Imgur user TreyHill. Not content to play video games in a boring old room with a boring old door, he looked to his favorite video game series, Fallout, for inspiration in crafting his new game room.

What he came up with is bound to have fans of Bethesda's post-apocalyptic RPG series nodding in approval: a fully-functioning Vault door.

Hill has posted an Imgur album of his work, and it's impossible not to be impressed. The yellow and blue color scheme loved by Vault-Tec and Pip Boy find their way into Hill's creation, and he's even labeled his Vault with the numbers 404. The total cost of the project was under $400, though Hill says he's not yet finished working on the actual inside of his gaming man cave. If it's half as impressive as the outside, Fallout fans should be in for a treat once it's completed.

He definitely won't have people sneaking up on him once he closes the Vault door behind him. It's all manual, requiring the user to roll the door along the tracks in order to access the inside. That sure does seem like a lot of work, but it definitely looks cool in action. There is a non-functioning terminal on the outside too, adding even more authenticity to the fan creation. Check it out below.

From mailing Bethesda 2,000 bottlecaps for a copy of Fallout 4 to this homemade Vault, Fallout fans are proving their dedication to the game series they love. Needless to say, Hill will be more than ready once Fallout 4 arrives Nov. 10 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
