Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Closed Beta started on Sept. 23 and now Ubisoft, the game publisher, has extended the Closed Beta to Oct. 1.
Thousands of gamers tried to get the access codes for the Closed Beta of the first person shooter game but many of them encountered technical issues from the game's website. Ubisoft has taken to Reddit and confirmed that there are still some issues to be fixed and the publisher has extended the Closed Beta to compensate for the problems.
"There are still a few issues to work out, of course, and we will continue to do that over the course of the beta. Given the current situation, we've made the decision to extend the Closed Beta by three days. It will run through Thursday, October 1st," Ubisoft posted on Reddit.
Ubisoft also revealed that a large number of guaranteed access codes for the Closed Beta have already been sent and the publisher will be sending more access codes to interested gamers.
To gain access, tick "I'm not a robot" and then click on the "CLAIM YOUR CODE NOW!" button in the middle of the webpage. After verification, an alphanumeric code will be generated that can be used to access the Closed Beta of the game.
For redeeming the code gamers will have to first visit https://www.rainbow6.com/beta and then select "REDEEM CODE." Customers will have to select the gaming platform from PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and click on "NEXT" to log in to the Uplay account. Users may have to create a Uplay account to redeem the access code.
The next step is to enter the alphanumeric access code, which will result in a confirmation email sent to the gamer's authorized email account.
After a while, another code will be emailed to the user along with a download link. Users simply have to click the link to start downloading the Closed Beta of the game.
Ubisoft will distribute limited access codes, which means that gamers will have to hurry if they want to play the Closed Beta of Rainbow Six Siege.
Ubisoft will release the game on Dec. 1 this year, just before the holiday season.
