This Preview Of 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' #1 Shows An "All-New All-Different Marvel"

If while watching the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, you thought Rocket was pretty bossy, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

The raccoon with a bite will be taking over as the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy #1, which features an "all-new, all-different Marvel Universe," according to a preview of the comic released by Marvel Wednesday. That's because this story takes place eight months after the events of Secret Wars when the Guardians' former leader Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star-Lord, becomes the ruler of Spartax.

Rocket will be at the helm of a whole new team of Guardians, too. Drax, Groot and Venom will still be around, but they will be joined by X-Men's Kitty Pryde — who will now be known as Star-Lady and will look exactly how you think a female Star-Lord would look — and Fantastic Four's Ben Grimm, a.k.a. The Thing. "Rocket and the Guardians are out to show that even though Secret Wars may be over, the galaxy still needs guarding," according to the comic's preview.

All of these changes to Guardians of the Galaxy are a result of the "All-New All Different Marvel" announced in June. Marvel's new lineup starting in the latter half of 2015 includes new #1's for every title released during this event.

Guardians of the Galaxy #1 will be written by Brian Michael Bendis of Invincible Iron Man fame and feature art from Valerio Schiti, whose work has been previously featured in The New Avengers series.

Guardians of the Galaxy #1 will be on sale starting Oct. 14.
