High-powered college sports programs are getting more and more creative when it comes to finding new ways to impress their recruits.
The University of Kansas football team managed to outdo itself – and leave one of its top recruits awestruck – by mailing Hunter Harris a cover of EA Sports' NCAA Football 15 with the center photoshopped onto the cover.
Upon receiving the package in the mail, Hunter took to his Twitter account to share it with the masses, with the tweet even getting picked up by Bleacher Report.
Fans have seen recruits get creative in the way they make their college commitments. Just last month, four-star cornerback recruit A.J. Taylor held a press conference with a full-blown Monopoly game board — taking reporters around the block before putting a hotel on Wisconsin and announcing the Badgers as his team. But we don't always get a glimpse of the kinds of things athletic programs do to impress and welcome their top recruits.
This little token of appreciation goes a long way with a teenager, no doubt making Harris that much more excited about becoming a Kansas Jayhawk and producing for the team. The 6'3, 255-pound center is listed as a three-star recruit on 247Sports.com.
On a complete sidenote, can you imagine a center ever getting a cover – for real – on a football video game?
