Smartphone fans looking to get a great deal on a Samsung Galaxy Note phablet can score the Note 4 for free. AT&T is currently offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for free when signing a new two-year contract.
Samsung has received praise for its new design language, which includes aluminum and glass instead of metallic painted plastic on the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5, and S6 Edge+. While most consumers appreciate the new premium build, some of Samsung's most loyal smartphone fans have been disappointed by two glaring omissions that have resulted from the company's new design philosophy.
For years, Samsung has advertised and taken Apple to task for the iPhone's lack of a removable battery and ability to expand its storage via a microSD expansion slot. The metal and glass construction of its latest flagship smartphones and phablets has come at a cost: users are no longer able to swap batteries or increase storage with the devices.
Consumers looking to score a Galaxy Note phablet with those important features can now pick up an AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for free when signing a new two-year contract with the carrier.
The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 515 pixels per inch (ppi). It's powered by a 2.7-GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM to keep things running smooth. The handset includes 32GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 128GB microSD cards.
The Note 4's camera capabilities consist of a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), 8x zoom, and 3.7-megapixel front-facing shooter with wide-angle for selfies and video chat.
The phablet ships with a large 3,220 mAh removable battery, which will provide up to 24 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby time. With adaptive fast charging technology built in, the device can charge to 50 percent in about 30 minutes.
The included enhanced S Pen stylus also allows users to preview emails, videos, photos, and more by simply hovering above the display.
The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 ships with Android 4.4 KitKat, which can be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. Samsung has also confirmed that it will be releasing an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the device.
