Man Uses 120,000 Pieces Of Lego To Build Miniature Erebor

Lego Gandalf would be proud. Michał Kaźmierczak, who previously built the gates of Erebor entirely out of Lego, has upped the ante with the unveiling of his massive 120,000-piece build of the interiors of the ancient Dwarven kingdom.

Measuring seven feet tall, five and a half feet deep and six feet wide, the Lego Erebor weighs around 286 pounds. Kaźmierczak is now looking to find a professional camera man to collaborate with to film a movie with his creation.

Photos of Kaźmierczak's Lego build are on his Flickr page, and you can tell from the smile on his face just how proud he is of this feat. The gate alone took him seven months to complete, according to reports, and he paid painstaking attention to every detail of the interiors of Erebor, leaving no Lego brick unturned.

The exterior gates of Erebor show two warriors standing guard at either side of the massive entrance. The gates stand proud on a rocky cliff, and even the fortifications made of rubble which the Dwarves built to bar the entrance in the movie can be seen.

Further away from the gates are some forests and even Lego Legolas and Tauriel fighting a few orcs looking to gain entrance to the city.

The interiors of Erebor show even more wonders with the Treasury room where Smaug the Dragon kept his hoard full of gold coins and other treasures; the barricaded entrance where Thorin Oakenshield and the 12 dwarves stand guard; the "Rock full of veins of gold" on all the walls; and even a throne room where Kaźmierczak managed to put in some windows to lay in some dramatic lighting in the uploaded images of his masterpiece.
