Windows 10 Has Now Been Installed On Over 75 Million PCs In Just One Month

Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 just one short month ago and has now released an update on its figures that reveal that the operating system has been installed on over 75 million PCs.

The company's Windows marketing chief, Yusuf Mehdi, revealed the new updated figures on Wednesday in a series of tweets. With more than 75 million devices now running Window 10, he also revealed that more than 90,000 unique PC or tablets have made the upgrade. We also learned that the OS is running in 192 countries — which pretty much means that it has made it to every country on the planet.

The rest of the statistics include gaming insights related to the upgrade. Windows 10's Windows Store has seen six times more app downloads per device than Windows 8.

Mehdi said that Xbox One gamers have streamed more than 122 years of gameplay to Windows 10 devices. Gamers have also unlocked 10 million achievements in Microsoft Solitaire Collection and in the beta for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition.

Another interesting fact added in the series of 10 tweets revealed Windows personal digital assistant's playful side. Cortana has told over half a million jokes since she launched.

A funny thing about the tweets was that Mehdi ended his series of Windows 10 facts by thanking Kim Kardashian. In Windows 10 tweet number nine, Mehdi reported that over 2,000 organizations competed to win a global partners slot in its "Upgrade Your World" charity campaign. The campaign includes Microsoft partnering with 10 global and 100 local nonprofits, giving them $10 cash investments to support their mission and promote awareness for their causes. Nonprofits like CARE, Save the Children and the Global Poverty Project are some that are part of the campaign.

Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson were also acknowledged by Mehdi for supporting the Upgrade Your World initiative.

Microsoft launched Windows 10 in the U.S. on July 20, then on July 29 worldwide in phases.
