Amazon Prime Now, the online marketplace's one-hour delivery service, is now available in Seattle and a few surrounding cities, the company announced Tuesday.
Prime Now is Amazon's delivery service that offers free two-hour delivery and one-hour delivery service for $7.99 for tens of thousands of items available for purchase through the website. This includes such items as paper towels, beer, ice cream and TV sets.
This delivery service is offered exclusively to Amazon Prime members and can be accessed through the Prime Now app on iOS and Android devices. The app also lets users track the location of their courier when a delivery is on its way.
Prime Now is available in select zip codes in Seattle, the location of Amazon's headquarters, as well as nearby cities Bellevue, Redmond and Kirkland. The service is available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight.
Prime Now previously launched in select areas of New York City, Miami, Baltimore, Dallas, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago and Indianapolis.
