John Cena Gets Revenge On Jon Stewart, Sting Surprises Seth Rollins

The Monday Night Raw after a pay per view is usually must-see WWE TV.

That being said, the Raw after SummerSlam on Monday night (August 24) didn't disappoint, as the WWE Universe got a chance to see John Cena extract revenge on Jon Stewart and Sting make his chilling return.

With Stewart holding court in the ring, boasting about turning on Cena at SummerSlam and costing him his United States championship, Ric Flair had heard enough. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer strolled down the ramp and let the former Daily Show host know that he was actually pulling for Cena in the Winner Takes All title match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.

Minutes later, Cena confronted Stewart himself. While he acknowledged that Stewart was perhaps doing what he felt was right by nailing him in the midsection with a steel chair at SummerSlam, Cena let the celebrity host know that he had to do what he had to do on Raw. With that said, Cena dropped the mic, hoisted Stewart up on his shoulders and dropped him down with a thud via the Attitude Adjustment.

But the stunning moments only continued to dominate Raw. Later on in the night, Rollins boasted about being the World Heavyweight champion and newly-crowned U.S. titleholder, having just taken the latter strap from Cena. With Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on hand to unveil a life-size statue of Rollins, the champ bragged about following in the legendary line of Bruno Sammartino, Andre The Giant and The Ultimate Warrior as WWE superstars who have all been honored with iconic statues.

But when the black cloth covering the statue was raised, a very lively Sting shocked the Brooklyn, NY. crowd, Triple H, McMahon and especially Rollins with his surprise return to the WWE. As Triple H and McMahon left the ring, Rollins charged Sting, but was met with several right hands followed by a Stinger Splash. Great episode of Raw!

Before Sting's stunning return, Triple H and Stephanie sang Happy Birthday to WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who turned 70 on Monday, but was not present in the ring.
