The summer never ends.
That's the point EA Sports drives all the way home with the release of its NBA Live 16 Pro-Am trailer, which debuted Thursday, August 13.
The trailer shows the character HOOPGAWD hitting the Pro-Am summer circuit, testing his skills against the All-Star likes of Los Angeles Clippers teamates Chris Paul and Blake Griffin and Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook in Venice Beach, as well as taking on 2014 NBA MVP Kevin Durant in Harlem's famed Rucker Park.
Other highlighted venues shown in the trailer include Kezar Pavilion in San Francisco, Seattle Pacific University, the Hoop Dome in Toronto, Brooklyn Park and Terminal 23 in New York City.
NBA Live 16's Pro-Am features two ways to play online: live run competitive five-on-five basketball and summer circuit, a cooperative mode, enabling gamers to challenge the NBA's best players on some of North America's most-notable indoor and outdoor courts.
Remember, the NBA Live Companion app includes the GameFaceHD feature, which will allow players to simply scan their face to use their own likeness in the game. Using GameFaceHD, the Pro-Am feature will essentially allow gamers to team up with their friends on the Pro-Am's live run and summer circuit, taking on some of the NBA's best players. With NBA 2K16 having its own Pro-Am mode, NBA Live's impressive showing with this trailer should only make for stiffer competition between the two titles and series.
Gamers can first try out the Pro-Am feature September 15, two full weeks before NBA Live 16's official release on September 29.
