See kids react to Apple II computer with no hard drive and mouse [Video]

Have you ever come face-to-face with one of the first home computers in history? Probably not, but these kids have, and they don't seem to like it very much.

There's a series on YouTube called "Kids React" by the Fine Brothers. It's a series where they show children something specific, and watch them react to it. It's a fun show, and it really does prove that kids truly say the darndest things.

This time around, kids were shown an old Apple II computer from back in the late 1970s or early 1980s. A wonderful and beautiful device we must admit, but for children who are used to laptops and computers with a sleek design, this Apple computer was never going to make any friends.

The kids were asked to turn on the computer, and as expected, they had no idea how to perform what many would consider a simple task. However, it is not that simple once you realize the power button is placed at the back. Like these children, we expect several grown-ups would have a difficult time performing the same task if they have never experienced an Apple II computer before.

When it came down to performing certain tasks such as typing, the kids were surprised that they are required to press a button to activate it. Furthermore, doing simple mathematics is not straightforward when using an Apple II computer, the kids found this out the hard way.

After multiple tries to perform simple arithmetic, they were told they would have to type, "Print" before the computer could recognize they were attempting a math problem.

Imagine how surprised these kids were when they found out that Apple II didn't come with a hard drive inside, or a mouse for that matter. Well, you don't have to imagine that, just watch the video we've provided below.

Despite not having a hard disk drive, an Apple II computer can still run software. To do this, the user must insert a Floppy Disk. Do you know what that is? It was a popular storage device back in the day. A Floppy Disk with just 1MB storage was very important back in the day.

The kids did get the chance to have some fun by playing Apple II video games. As one would expect, these games are pixelated and ugly by today's standards. However one child said the games were more fun than Flappy Bird, and we have to agree with that.
