Astronaut Scott Kelly is celebrating his first year of residency on the International Space Station (ISS). The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) delegate at the enormous research spacecraft took to Twitter his thoughts as he celebrated his anniversary. Social media aficionados were delighted as Kelly answered all sorts of queries, whether space-related or not, in a live Q&A held on Saturday, Aug. 1. The official hashtag used for the said interactive session was #YearInSpace.
Kelly willingly answered queries from US President Barack Obama, opens up about life at the ISS, revealed that he is able to watch ESPN up in space and whole lot of more interesting information.
From the ISS, Kelly was able to capture the Earth, the Moon, Jupiter and Venus into one stunning photograph - something many people regard as one of the best photos captured from the ISS so far. President Barack Obama was particularly stunned as he asked one question, which stirred a very interesting conversation between him and Kelly.
Kelly also disclosed that he does not use Facetime on the ISS but uses another video messaging software to stay in touch with his family and friends on Earth. He doesn't use the latest model of the iPhone either but owns an iPad.
Kelly also talked about his life at the ISS, giving netizens really straightforward answers to the delight of many. When asked about his sleeping patterns, workout regimen in space, including his pastime, he has these to say:
