'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': Our First Look At Mercy Graves In Live Action

We've long wanted to know who that Asian lady was in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer. She seems to work closely with Lex Luthor. As it turns out, it is Mercy Graves.

A new YouTube video from the official channel of DC Entertainment confirms that the actress Tao Okamoto is Mercy Graves, the bodyguard and secretary of Lex Luthor. We've been seeing Ms. Graves for a number of years in the DC Universe, mainly in the Superman TV series until she rolled over into the comics.

Ms. Graves is one of the few people Luthor trusts, and she is also not his first secretary. Others have popped up over the years, but when they find out too much about what he's doing, he has them killed. However, for some reason, Ms. Graves is different. Maybe it is because she doesn't take abuse from Luthor, whose respect she has earned.

We should point out that Mercy Graves is great in hand-to-hand combat and with weapons. It was also confirmed a while back that she was an Amazon, which could give Wonder Woman a reason to be involved in this conflict.

An enormous battle between Wonder Woman and Mercy Graves would be a spectacle on the big screen if Zack Snyder is capable of pulling it off like a boss.

This isn't the first time we get to see Tao Okamoto on the big screen. She appeared in the Wolverine back in 2013 as Mariko Yashida. She must have impressed someone at Warner Bros. to land such an important role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

What should we expect from Mercy Graves in the movie?

If she is indeed Amazonian, then she will have a big role to play in the grand scheme of things. We'd probably get to find out why she betrayed her people, and why Diana Prince/Wonder Woman is after her.

Another thing, is she influencing Lex Luthor in any way? This could be a possibility, but we'd have to wait and see.
