It's almost August, and that means it's almost time for football season. For football fans who also happen to be gamers, that means it's time for this year's installment of EA's Madden franchise in the form of Madden NFL 16.
The game will be releasing on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but if you are a football fan who has yet to upgrade to a next-gen console, you might want to consider this latest Xbox One bundle from Microsoft.
Announced today via Microsoft's Major Nelson, the Xbox One Madden NFL 16 bundle comes with a 1 TB hard drive, a digital copy of Madden NFL 16 and a year subscription to EA Access. Oh, and it also comes out on Aug. 18, a full week ahead of the game's launch date of Aug. 25. Through EA Access, players will be able to play Madden NFL 16 starting on Aug. 20, with all of their progress carrying over to the full version of the game.
That's not all EA Access gets you, either. The program allows users to play older EA titles free of charge, including Battlefield 4, Titanfall, Need for Speed Rivals and many more. Subscribers also get a 10 percent discount off all digital purchases for EA games.
Last but certainly not least, those who have EA Access can download and play the latest EA games up to five days ahead of their official release date. That's how bundle purchasers will be able to play Madden NFL 16 ahead of time, but it will also work for upcoming EA releases like the heavily-anticipated Star Wars Battlefront and Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. A year subscription to EA Access is currently $29.99.
The Xbox One Madden NFL 16 bundle will retail for $400, the same price as a standard 1 TB Xbox One. If you are a Madden fan (or a fan of EA games in general), this bundle might be the best opportunity to upgrade machines yet. You can preorder it now on Amazon.
