Every Friday is the same: Xur returns to Destiny to sell players the exotic items of their dreams. Without fail he brings three pieces of armor (one for each class) and one exotic weapon for players to choose from. This is how Xur operates. It's what he does.
But not today. Players may have noticed Xur isn't carrying an exotic weapon like normal. It's because he doesn't want to and it's not because Xur secretly hates you. Perhaps Xur caught wind that Bungie will be drastically changing nearly every exotic gun in the game September, and has decided not to keep one in stock out of protest? According to Bungie, Xur not having an exotic weapon in stock is the result of a glitch.

While Bungie is investigating the issue you can still browse Xur's other wares. Sunbreakers are always a solid (and extremely cool) looking choice for Sunsinger Warlocks. If you like to go big or go home, the X6 damage for the Hunter's golden gun while wearing Celestial Nighthawk is hard to pass up. Just make sure you don't miss your one shot. You can also snag an exotic helmet engram for 23 motes of light.
Xur is hanging out near the Speaker's chambers this weekend. Just turn left upon spawning and go down the hallway. Keep going straight and you can't miss him. Here is Xur's exact location via FindXur.com. Read on for Xur's list of wares.
