Samsung doesn't have many suprises to offer after the phone made an appearance in a number of leaks, but the company has now offiically debuted its new Galaxy A8 smartphone in China -- which, as of now, is the only place it's available.
While the A8 isn't the company's highest-end phone, it does have one thing going for it: at just 5.9mm, or 0.23 inches, it's Samsung's slimmest smartphone to date. And it does still pack some more than adequate specs into that thin, all-metal frame, including a 1080p 5.7-inch OLED screen,16- and 5-megapixel rear and front cameras, a fairly large 3,050mAh battery, 16GB of storage, and a fingerprint scanner on the home button.
As for a price, folks in China can apparently expect to pay 3,199 yuan (or about $515), but there's no word on pricing or availablility elsewhere just yet.
