Computing on the go is easier than ever before, but while the touchscreen keyboards of smartphones and tablets go a long way in helping users get work done while on the road, if you want to do some serious work you are going to need a real keyboard.
That's where bluetooth keyboards and keyboards for tablets come in. Sometimes, there just is no substitute for a good, old fashioned keyboard with actual keys to press.
Except this new bluetooth keyboard from Microsoft is anything but old fashioned. It's called the Universal Mobile Foldable Keyboard and it does exactly what the name implies: it folds.
Specifically, it folds in half to make transporting it even easier than normal. The keyboard snaps shut thanks to magnetic closure, and Microsoft says the keyboard can last up to three months on one charge. Two devices can be paired to the keyboard and a button on the top row of the keyboard allows users to switch between devices. The keyboard is indeed universal as well, compatible with iOS, OS X, Android and Microsoft devices.
Did we mention it folds? Just fold it over, stick it in your bag and you are ready to go. It's that easy, and while not revolutionary, is extremely cool and practical for people who are always on the move. It's super thin, and while the Verge reports the devices keys are a bit shallow, it's hard not to be attracted to the whole "cool" factor behind it all.
Microsoft's slick, foldable keyboard is available now through the Microsoft store nationwide, the Microsoft online store and Amazon. If you want one, it will set you back $99.95, or $108 through Amazon.
