Apple Music just debuted two additional content exclusives — the premiere of Eminem's new music video as well as the debut of Dr. Dre's new weekly radio show on Beats 1. Meanwhile, a new Twitter account lists every song played on the station.
Apple music continues to bring out the heavy hitters. Along with the exclusive premiere of Eminem's latest music video, the debut of the Beats 1 show hosted by his longtime producer and friend Dr. Dre also premiered.
Eminem already made his Apple Music debut when he was the first featured guest to be interviewed by Zane Lowe on the company's new Beats 1 radio station. Now, his music video "Phenomenal" has also debuted on the service. The seven-minute long video, which is being touted by the company as a "music film," includes guest appearances by actors John Malkovich and Randall Park as well as both the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch.
The video also includes an appearance by Dr. Dre, who premiered his new Beats 1 radio show on July 4th. The hour-long show, entitled "The Pharmacy," will run weekly on the same day and time — Saturdays at 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, since no one can listen to Beats 1 24/7, some enterprising fans have come up with a way to keep track of what's playing on the new station. Those with Twitter can now follow an account called Beats 1 Plays. The account live-tweets each track as it is played, so those following it will constantly be updated with a real-time listing of the latest tracks. Even those without an account can still check out the list.
Spotify users can also stay abreast of the latest song selections on Beats 1 by checking out a playlist called "Beats 1 Tracks," compiled in a collaborative effort by Spotify users who collectively stay tuned to the station and continually add new songs as they are played. The list is limited, of course, to songs that are available on Spotify, so it won't ever be complete and it will lack many of the Beats 1 exclusives, such as Pharell's latest song "Freedom," that are intended to differentiate the station from its streaming competitors.
