Nvidia Rolls Out GeForce 353.38 Driver Hotfix To Address Chrome Issues And More

Graphics processor maker Nvidia has rolled out the GeForce 353.38 Hotfix that will resolve all the Chrome crashes, freezes and Timeout Detection Recovery errors, as well as shrink delays while starting or switching video games and apps with GSYNC enabled, according to a post on the GeForce support forum.

Nvidia customer care explains that the company usually rolls out drivers in line with new hardware or games releases. This process has been successful for the team except for one significant weakness. A major fix required by most users to address important recurring issues could be last on the list.

The comments on the Driver Feedback threads help in creating the fixes, and the next official driver release will definitely include them. In the meantime, the hotfix drivers are meant to be beta and optional for users to quickly address some significant issues. Nvidia customer care recommends waiting for the next WHQL certified driver but anticipates that some users are willing to test the software. Brave users' input and comments will be very helpful to the company's engineering teams.

Nvidia's support website posts GeForce Hotfix driver 353.38 available for Windows 7 and 8 with four links, two separate links for 64-bit desktop and notebook and another two separate links for 32-bit desktop and notebook. There are also four separate links compatible with Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 10.

Save the appropriate file that matches the bit architecture and hardware, run it, wait for the data required and simply follow the instructions to complete the installation. If the set-up wizard does not request a reboot, it has to be performed manually. After the computer reboots, all changes should take effect.
