Samsung is getting ready to release some Galaxy S5 spinoffs and the latest smartphone to leak is the 5.1-inch Galaxy S5 Neo and it's coming to Verizon.
Samsung has never been shy about giving consumers as many options has humanly possible when choosing a handset from their smartphone lineup. Some devices cater to people who want large HD displays and top of the line specs, while others put their main focus on a feature, like the just announced Galaxy K zoom and its 20.7-megapixel rear camera.
We just reported on another Samsung Galaxy S5 variant, the Galaxy S5 Prime, which is believed to be a high-end smartphone built out of premium materials, including a 1440 x 2560 resolution Super AMOLED display.
We also reported about the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini. The handset will reportedly feature a similar design to the Galaxy S5, but will be smaller with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display.
Samsung will be adding a new variant to the Galaxy S5 lineup with what is believed to be the Galaxy S5 Neo. Indian import database Zauba posted information regarding the new smartphone. There are three model numbers listed on the siteSM-G750A, SM-G750F and SM-G750H.
The most recent reports about the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo claim the smartphone will be very affordable, use a 5.1-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 and a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Since it's part of the Neo family, it will reportedly adopt an LCD screen and not the Super AMOLED display found on the Galaxy S5. The listing also shows the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo is headed to Verizon Wireless due to its model number of SM-G7508V.
Samsung most recently introduced the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, which was designed to offer users a 'Note' experience but with mid-range specs and price. The phablet was only offered in select regions and not the U.S. Once we hear more information on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo and expected release date on Verizon, we'll be sure to update you.
