Sometimes going to the gym is the last thing on our minds. Those who are committed to living a healthy and fit life drop the excuses and make the time. But even those with serious determination have those bad days, when they just lack the motivation to do another rep. If only we had the voice of a coach in our ears, telling us to keep it up.
Get ready fitness lovers — Jabra has just released a new set of wireless headphones that will coach you though your workouts.
The Jabra Sport Coach headphones synch with a Sport Life training app to track and boost your fitness routine. Users can create and customize their workouts, choosing from more than 40 different exercises — perfect for people who are cross-training.
But don't worry if you're new to the fitness game. Users can chose between beginner to advance exercises to better fit their fitness level.
The Sport Coach accurately captures your movement and provides real-time audio coaching, telling you when to keep going and when to move on to the next circuit. The headphone's integrated TrackFit motion sensor also tracks your pace, calories burned, distance, route, step count and cadence. The app in turn provides a complete workout history and achievement page so you can observe your progress.
The Jabra Sport Coach uses NFC for pairing with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The wireless sport headphones are equipped with Dolby sound and have a battery life of 5.5 hours. The headphones are sweat-proof, weatherproof and have a secure fit. They come in red, yellow and blue, and retail for $150.
It's important to note that while these headphones do provide a "personal trainer" to help you get the most out of your cross training sessions, they do not have a heart rate monitor like the Jabra Sport Pulse, which is aimed at runners.
Still, those who are into CrossFit and other cross-training activities may find that the smart headphones provide the extra motivation to make it through one more rep.
