Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment just debuted the launch trailer for the third and final game in the Batman: Arkham trilogy on Monday.
Set to hit shelves June 23, Batman: Arkham Knight will bring the series to a conclusion, as Batman fights to protect Gotham one last time against a band of super villains led by Scarecrow and the mysterious Arkham Knight.
The new trailer gives us another look at the game, complete with some light spoilers. So watch at your own risk.
Of course the trailer shows the Batmobile in action, a key feature gamers are most excited about, developed exclusively for this final installment. While we know that the Batmobile is not indestructible, we do get to see the car in action, speeding off to escape enemy fire.
As we've seen so many times throughout the Arkham series, Batman continues to fight to protect the city of Gotham, so that its people no longer live in fear. Man comes to an end, but legends live on forever, and Batman is willing to do whatever it takes. "For the hero, the only conclusion is death," the narrator says.
The launch trailer is action-packed, filled with fight scenes and explosions, highlighting the game's graphics and storyline.
The trailer includes the new track "Mercy" from Muse's seventh studio album that debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart last week.
