Once you see what Netflix has in store for July, you'll know it's going to be a good summer.
Though it seems like Netflix really beefed up its original content this spring with new series premieres like The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Marvel's Daredevil and Sense8, the streaming platform isn't slowing down for summer. In fact, things are just starting to heat up around here.
Netflix is adding a ton of new original content in July, which will bring new seasons of the popular animated series Kinghts of Sidonia and BoJack Horseman, the premiere of the new documentary Tig, which chronicles the cancer diagnosis and recovery of comedian Tig Notaro, and a new stand-up comedy special from Chris Tucker. Perhaps the most-anticipated new addition to Netflix's batch of original content is Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, an eight-episode prequel to the 2001 cult comedy.
If novelty scares you, there are plenty of movies and TV shows both old and new are coming to the platform in July. You've got action (Underworld: Evolution), adventure (Penguins of Madagascar) and jazz hands (Season 6 of Glee), just to name a few new titles coming your way in July.
Unfortunately, getting all of these new titles means we have to say goodbye to some as well. Let's all take a moment to pour one out for the homies. OK, now that that's done, if you haven't gotten a chance to see the likes of Cast Away, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, you're going to want to do so before we put another June in the books.
