Believe it or not, Nintendo’s Amiibo figures have become so rare that there is basically a black market for them.
Just last month, a supply truck transporting some of these figurines was stolen, proving that your supply of Amiibo might be worth just as much on the street as any drug.
Why are they so valuable? Well, Nintendo underestimated the public’s demand for these figures, leading to severe shortages all over the globe and forcing collectors to cough up big bucks on the secondary market.
Even though the company is attempting to fix this, that isn’t stopping Nintendo from flaunting its Amiibo army on the convention floor at E3.
