Digital imaging solutions leader Canon U.S.A. has announced that its premium compact digital camera PowerShot G3 X will be available in July for a $999.99 retail price.
A great addition to Canon's G-series, PowerShot G3 X boasts of a one-inch 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor with a bright f/2.8-5.6 25x optical power zoom lens, arguably giving it the most zoom power compared to its closest competitors. Using an SDHC/SDXC UHS-I card and with focus locked in JPEG mode, the PowerShot G3 X has the ability to continuously shoot on a speed of up to 5.9 frames per second (fps) with single AF and offers no buffer lag to help photographers take fast-action shots with ease and accuracy.

For taking selfies from a variety of angles or creative low-angle shots, photographers can adjust the tilting screen up to 180 degrees or as much as 45 degrees down for overhead shots.
An electronic viewfinder EVF-DC1 with 2.36 megapixel resolution is a great optional accessory for the PowerShot G3 X to help photographers stabilize the camera and compose professional shots in bright conditions.
The camera is also capable of recording 1080p Full HD videos at 60 fps in MP4 format, enhanced with manual control of exposure and audio levels, a headphone jack for audio monitoring while recording, and an external stereo microphone jack.
