Blizzard Announces 'Whispers Of Oblivion' Prologue For 'StarCraft 2: Legacy Of The Void'

Good news for fans of the "StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void" as developer Blizzard has announced a free prologue - Whispers of Oblivion.

Whispers of Oblivion is a three-mission prologue and will precede "StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm."

The word come's straight from the horse's mouth as Blizzard revealed the impending prologue at the PC Gaming Show at E3 on Tuesday, June 16.

So what is Whispers of Oblivion all about you wonder?

"Whispers of Oblivion is a special three-mission series that has been created to bridge the storyline between Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void," reveals StarCraft's YouTube page description.

The prologue - Whispers of Oblivion will be available for free for StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void players. However, gamers who want to be the first to try out the prologue need to be the early birds i.e. pre-purchase StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void and be in line to get early access to Whispers of Oblivion.

Come July, developer Blizzard is slated to add the newly announced Whispers of the Oblivion prologue to StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void. Coincidentally, Blizzard has been running a closed beta for the impending game during spring.

StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void, the second expansion of the StarCraft 2 series, is set to focus primarily on the Protoss and has Artanis as its protagonist.

Whispers of Oblivion will have three missions which will connect event from the StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm - the previous expansion - to the start of the next. It will pretty much prepare gamers for the games culmination. Whispers of Oblivion will also feature the first-ever Zeratul mission since StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty.

The prologue also features new warriors and machines that will be fielded by each race. These include Adept, Cyclone, Disrupter, Ravager and Lurker.
