A leaked internal T-Mobile memo suggests that the Microsoft Lumia 640 and the LG G Pad F 8.0 will arrive at the carrier on June 17.
Microsoft unveiled the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in early March this year. Now Windows Phone lovers will be able to grab the handset from T-Mobile very soon.
"We've been wondering about the official launch date for T-Mobile's Microsoft Lumia 640 for some time, and now we finally have evidence from one of our sources," reports TmoNews. "T-Mo communicated to staff that the long-awaited budget Windows Phone will be arriving on store shelves in time for a June 17 launch."
The Lumia 640 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution and 294 ppi. A Snapdragon 400 chipset that contains a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz will power the handset. The handset will include 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. However, the storage capacity can be increased using a microSD card.
The Lumia 640 is equipped with an 8MP primary camera and a 0.9MP front-facing camera. A 2,500mAh battery powers the handset, which offers 26.5 hours of talk time and 36 days of standby time.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 is not the only device that T-Mobile will launch on June 17. The carrier will also launch the LG G Pad F 8.0 tablet on the same day. The LG tablet has an 8-inch LCD screen with 800 x 1,200 pixels resolution and 189 ppi.
Just like the Lumia 640, the LG tablet will also be powered by the Snapdragon 400 chipset that contains a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The tablet will have 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Users can add an additional 128GB memory with a microSD card.
A powerful 4,200mAh battery powers the LG G Pad F 8.0 tablet. The tablet also includes a 5MP rear-facing and a 1.2MP selfie camera.
T-Mobile has not yet confirmed the release date of the Windows Phone but the company's official Lumia 640 webpage greets the customers with a "coming soon" banner along with details of the handset.
The leaked T-Mobile internal memo of these two devices does not reveal the prices. However, customers will just have to wait a little longer to lay their hands on a new tablet and smartphone from T-Mobile.
