It's always fun when Jimmy Kimmel gets celebrities to sit down and read mean tweets about themselves.
With the start of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, the late-night talk show host featured the third NBA edition of players – retired and active – reading mean tweets about themselves on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Everyone from Hall of Famers like Magic Johnson and Reggie Miller to current NBA MVP Stephen Curry and All-Star power forward Blake Griffin sat down and reacted to the 140 characters or less of criticism, downright disrespect and, in some cases, blatant hate.
While most NBA players laughed off the mean tweets – like Magic flashing his signature pearly whites when a follower said he has "approximately 73 teeth in his mouth" – there are always those ballers who have a sharp retort of their own ready to snap back with.
Take Wesley Matthews for instance. When reading a tweet saying, "Wesley Matthews complains about every foul ... just go eat donuts on the bench you fat f***," the miffed Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard immediately responded by offering: "You fat f***? I'm f****** 6-percent body fat."
There were more mean tweets that jumped out at us in the third NBA edition of the series as well.
One follower told Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, "DeAndre Jordan look like that uncle at a cookout that stick his fork in ya plate." DJ responded saying, "Well, I think sharing is caring, so f*** you!"
When told that Stephen is a "girly name" and that he should change his name to "Steve," Curry said, "Steve is a terrible name ... oh shoot ... that's my coach's name."
And the mean tweet that Griffin read? Absolutely ridiculous. Check out the NBA edition of reading mean tweets below.
We look forward to new all-baseball and all-football players' editions soon, Jimmy.
