It's Official: Bethesda To Announce 'Fallout 4' Tomorrow

Fallout 4: we've all heard the rumors and assumed, regardless of silence from Fallout game developer Bethesda Softworks, that it would come, at least eventually. Now, though, the day of the official announcement of the game has arrived.

Tomorrow, expect Bethesda to finally make an announcement about the follow-up to its hit franchise Fallout.

The company put up a countdown clock on its official website today, counting down the hours until tomorrow, when the announcement occurs.

The announcement comes a few weeks before the E3 conference, where most expected to find out more about the latest title in the Fallout franchise. However, it seems that Bethesda wants to get a jump on E3 by officially announcing Fallout 4 tomorrow.

Of course, this announcement comes after several years of rumors and speculation. Back in 2013, the actor behind the voice of Fallout radio announcer Big Dog, Eric Todd Dellums, tweeted a tease about the title.

That was nearly two years ago, but since then, fans of the franchise have gone nuts with speculation.

One of the most common rumors concerns the setting of the game. Most believe that Fallout 4's setting is a post-apocalyptic Boston, with one Reddit user posting that Bethesda spent time scoping out the city, perhaps researching the new title. That rumor, though, is nearly three years old.

Rumors about the upcoming announcement of Fallout 4 resurfaced a few days ago, though, when Bethesda added a new piece of merchandise to their store for pre-order: a Brotherhood of Steel medallion. The necklace ships after E3, and, of course, that means that fans speculated that the necklace's release coincided with news about Fallout 4.

Whatever the case, we'll know more for certain tomorrow, so Fallout fans will await the news with a collectively held breath.
