Samsung is squeezing out as many variants of its new flagship Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge as possible. In addition to its upcoming Galaxy S6 Active, a smartphone believed to be the Galaxy S6 Mini has revealed its specs on GFXBench.
When it comes to getting its money worth in terms of spinning off numerous smartphone variants in a particular series, Samsung has no shame in its game. With its recently-released Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the company has already officially launched a limited edition Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge to appeal to fans of the super hero and ones who can appreciate a bright red and gold-colored dual-edge display smartphone.
Samsung is also preparing to launch another new Galaxy S6 variant for AT&T in the form of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, which has already passed through the FCC for approval to run on the carrier's 4G LTE network. The smartphone is reportedly going to feature a 5.1-inch 2560 by 1440 quad-HD display, just like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Since this is part of Samsung's Active series, it will be both water-resistant and dust-proof, like the S5 Active and S4 Active.
A new leak reveals an unannounced Samsung smartphone, likely the Galaxy S6 Mini with model number SM-G9198 has made an appearance on the popular benchmarking site, GFXBench revealing its specs.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini will reportedly feature a 4.6-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 by 768 and will be powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, Adreno 418 GPU (graphics processing unit) and 2 GB of RAM. The handset's camera capabilities include a 16 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and video chat. The smartphone is running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and also packs in a barometer and motion processor.
