Watch John Oliver Explain Why We Never Saw These 'Lost Graphics' On 'Last Week Tonight'

We didn't get a new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver this week. You were probably too busy sitting on the beach or gorging yourself on some barbecue to notice anyway.

But still, if you felt a bespectacled British man-shaped void in your heart this week, don't fret. Last Week Tonight released a new web exclusive in lieu of a full-length episode on YouTube Sunday, and once you watch it, you'll never look at the HBO show the same way again.

You know those graphics that appear to the left of Oliver during each segment as he explores everything from fashion to infrastructure to paid family leave? Well, sometimes they don't always make it into the show because jokes from the script get cut for time.

But that doesn't mean we'll never get to see these graphics. Oliver showed us some of the "Lost Images of Last Week Tonight" in this new web exclusive, and once you see them, it won't take you long to understand why they never made it to air. Although, you will be glad that they at least made it to the Internet.

Some of the totally bizarre and ridiculous graphics that we never got to see in a full-fledged episode of Last Week Tonight include a blind bunny rabbit, a whale with a toupee and an issue of the totally fake magazine Cockfighting Aficionado featuring a rather dapper rooster on the cover. The show also cut a graphic of Kid Rock driving a monster truck into a Dairy Queen, which is something that is bound to happen in real life, even though it shockingly doesn't exist already. We may end up seeing that graphic one day on Last Week Tonight after all.
