Carmelo Anthony Reveals He's Afraid Of Cats During Facebook Chat

Carmelo Anthony sat down with Facebook on Monday to answer as many questions as he could in 60 seconds.

The results? Some pretty entertaining responses, leaving plenty to comment about in posts across timelines.

When asked how many languages he speaks, Melo said "one and a half." When asked if he prefers Jay-Z or Nas as his rapper of choice, the New York Knicks All-Star forward responded, "Both." (That was a cop-out, Melo!) He made amends, picking Biggie over Tupac, though. He reads to pass time on the road, was eight years old when he began playing basketball and his favorite player growing up was the great Bernard King of the Knicks.

Then came the scene-stealing question and answer at the 43-second mark: What animal are you most afraid of?

"A cat," Melo said with a deadpan delivery, staring straight into the camera for all of Facebook users to see.

Really, Melo? A cat? We guess the fact that he's 6'8", 240 pounds doesn't factor in here. You're afraid of what you're afraid of. We just can't get over the fact that he's afraid of a common household pet... that's not a vicious dog.

A better question might have been: is he afraid of how the Knicks will fare next season after producing a franchise-worst 17-65 record. That said, they'll have a shot at turning around their misfortune, beginning Tuesday night with the NBA Draft Lottery. Knicks fans hope for that No. 1 pick... and that he's not a cat lover.
