Nick Gordon Appeals To Bobbi Kristina Brown's Family To Allow A Visit

Nick Gordon has been publicly pleading the Brown and the Houston families again to visit his long-time girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown, who remains in an unconscious state on life-support system at a Georgia medical facility.

In a press statement issued to the media on May 18 through his lawyers Joe S. Habachy and Randall M. Kessler of Atlanta, Gordon detailed he has honored the wishes of his girlfriend's relatives and has abstained from visiting Bobbi Kristina since January in an effort to avoid a confrontation, but now that he has completed a recent rehabilitation stint, he expressed his frustration at still being banned by relatives from seeing her.

"Despite his strong desire to see Bobbi Kristina, Nick has respected the families' wishes for over three months and has refrained from visiting or from pursuing access to her through the courts. He has asked through counsel many times privately and now asks both the Browns and the Houstons, please let him see her," Gordon's lawyers said in the statement.

Gordon recently finished a period in rehab for suicidal inclinations, depressive disorders, and substance addiction after Dr. Phil McGraw performed an intervention on his talk show. At the time, Michele Gordon, Nick's mother told Dr. Phil that Nick had attempted to commit suicide two times since Bobbi Kristina was admitted to the hospital on Jan. 31. Nick also swore to slay himself if Bobbi passed away.

Singer Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina's father, would not let Gordon see Bobbi Kristina unless he communicates with police about the exact events that led to her drowning.

Bobbi Kristina, 22, is revived from her medically induced coma but has suffered irreversible brain damage and is unresponsive. While Bobbi may be able to live a long life despite the extensive brain damage, a full recovery is impossible, said her grandmother. Cissy, the mother of the late Whitney Houston, is asking for a miracle, but said she will be at peace if Bobbi Kristina passes away.

Bobby Brown, her former son-in-law, and her daughter-in-law, Pat Houston, were newly entitled co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina by a Georgia judge. Bobby Brown and Pat, the wife of Cissy's son Gary Houston, are now jointly responsible for Bobbi Kristina's medical needs and care. Pending the ruling, Bobby Brown was exclusively in charge of making medical decisions concerning his daughter.

When Whitney Houston passed away in 2012, Bobbi Kristina, her only child, inherited her $20 million estate. Whitney's will specified that if Bobbi Kristina died, the estate would pass to her mother Cissy, her brother Gary and his wife, Pat. Bobby Brown, who divorced Whitney Houston in 2007, will not acquire anything from Bobbi Kristina's inheritance.
