Although fans of canceled NBC series Constantine held out hope this week that the series might get picked up The CW, the news for the #SaveConstantine campaign isn't looking good.
Fans have adamantly been taking to social media to encourage The CW to pick up the series, and according to Constantine showrunner Daniel Cerone, the Constantine team was in talks with the network about potentially adding it to its lineup.
Previously, Dave Blass, the series' production designer even pointed out that Constatine's ratings were already better on NBC than many of The CW's hit series.
However, Cerone also posted a tweet (which was then deleted) that things were not "looking good" at The CW.
Of course, we can hold onto hope that Cerone deleted the tweet because The CW decided to pick up the series, but that's still unlikely because today, The CW released its fall schedule and Constantine isn't on it.
Does that mean that Constantine is now dead? Unfortunately, the answer is "all signs point to yes," although fans of the series won't give up so easily, and some of those fans are names we recognize: actors Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin and even William Shatner have spoken out in favor of the series and offered to do guest starring gigs on it should it make its way to The CW.
