Finding a deal on Apple's latest and greatest, the iPhone 6, has been hard to come by. A new deal from eBay is offering the unlocked 16 GB iPhone 6 for $609.99 compared with Apple's retail price of $649.
When Apple unveiled the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus last September, the company finally gave iPhone fans choices of larger smartphones that would better compete with devices from Samsung, HTC and LG. Of course, the 6 Plus marked Apple's entry into the phablet category, which Samsung can take much of the credit in creating with its original Galaxy Note that debuted at IFA Berlin in 2011.
The move to larger displays on both the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus proved to be a hit with consumers, and after its first weekend on sale, Apple announced that it had sold over 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus handsets. Sales of the popular devices continued to shatter records, and in the fourth quarter of 2014, Apple overtook Samsung in global smartphone sales for the first time since 2011.
Samsung has reclaimed the top position in the first quarter of 2015, and that lead is expected to continue as sales of its latest flagship Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are proving to be a hit with consumers.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have continued to be so popular that finding a deal on either device has been far and few between, but a new deal has just emerged for the unlocked 16 GB iPhone 6.
A new iPhone 6 deal on eBay will let you pick up a factory-unlocked 16 GB iPhone 6 for $609.99, which undercuts Apple's current $649 price. If you're interested in this deal head over to eBay and choose either the silver, space gray or gold option. The deal also includes free shipping with the order.
