Make sure you don't ever end up on Steve Smith Sr.'s hit list. If you do, you're going to pay.
Although there's no telling how long the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver stashed away this follower's disparaging tweet, Smith decided to pull it out of the bag for the world to see on his 36th birthday this Tuesday. And when he did, Smith showed no mercy.
Lesson learned, Andy Parker... don't call Steve Smith Sr. old. At 35 last season, Smith had 79 receptions for 1,065 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Intense as a football player can humanly get – sometimes teetering on unhinged – Smith remains one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
Listen — if you can dish it out behind your keyboard so freely, you have to be able to take it too. And Smith clearly delivered some computer pain here. If Parker thinks Smith is an old man — then this is the type of old man we wouldn't ever want to see in an alley fight. Don't forget, this is the same Smith who lumped up more than one of his teammates before... and would probably do so again if tested or disrespected.
Smith's revenge, served cold, conjured thoughts of Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins waiting five years to finally unload on a tweet from a follower saying that he'd be arrested for something in the next five years. Instead, Cousins was named a first-time All-Star five years later. Watch what you say.
