'Arrow' Season 3 Finale: 5 Things We Want To See From The Last Episode

It's hard to believe that a full season has passed on The CW's Arrow, especially with all that's happened during that season. But the season finale is almost here, and we're wondering how things will end.

Of course, Arrow will return for a fourth season, and we expect that events in the season finale will set up the plot for next year, as well wrap up the loose threads from this year.

So what can we expect from this episode? We have no idea what the writers have in store for Oliver Queen and company, but here are five things we would certainly like to see.

Thea becomes Oliver's new sidekick.

It was an Easter Egg of sorts, but in the first season of Arrow, Oliver called Thea by her childhood nickname, Speedy. Fans of the Green Arrow comics know this name as one of Oliver's sidekicks, although on the TV series, this character became Arsenal, originally the alter ego of Roy Harper (who was the first Speedy in the comic books). Last week's episode saw Roy leaving his Arsenal costume with Thea, so it's sort of a no-brainer that she'll wear it in the season finale and take up arms beside her brother.

Oliver reclaims his identity by killing Ra's al Ghul.

We've already seen clips from next week's episode where Oliver confronts Ra's. We're assuming this takes place right before he challenges Ra's once more, this time killing him once and for all. We know this is the only way Oliver can get out of becoming the leader of the League of Assassins, so he can't be that if Ra's lives. Of course, after Ra's dies, Oliver is free to go save Starling City from the deadly virus unleashed there (with the help of The Flash, of course).

Oliver becomes Green Arrow.

We already know this will happen, thanks to a newspaper article from the future on The Flash, but Oliver's recent experiences in Nanda Parbat will result in a changed man. That man can no longer be just the Arrow, so a new identity is in order: Green Arrow.

Felicity and Oliver officially break up.

At this point, the whole "will they or won't they?" of Olicity has dragged the series down, so we hope that we finally see some closure between these two. It's likely that Felicity won't forgive Oliver for his pretending while in league with Ra's al Ghul and going through with the marriage to Nyssa, so hopefully, we'll finally see Felicity stand up to Oliver and tell him to shove off and friend zone him for good.

Of course, what will, more than likely, happen is that Felicity forgives Oliver and they declare their love and then we'll have yet another season of them struggling as the most annoying on again, off again couple since Ross and Rachel.

Katana joins Team Arrow.

This is probably wishful thinking, but we think now that we've seen Tatsu suited up as Katana, she'll help out Oliver and his team, at least during the season finale episode. We don't see her joining him permanently in season four, but it's likely that we'll see her popping up in a few episodes from time to time when Team Green Arrow needs a little extra help.

The Arrow season finale airs on Wednesday on The CW.
