Owners of the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 have a sweet update waiting for them. The carrier has just released its Android 5.0 Lollipop software update for the former flagship smartphone.
Samsung has a great track record with releasing major Android software updates to its current and previous flagship smartphone lineup. The company recently launched its latest high-end smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, which both ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop and Samsung's updated TouchWiz UI out of the box. Many reviews of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have praised Samsung for polishing up TouchWiz in terms of performance and its overall user interface.
Samsung has integrated Android 5.0 Lollipop's "Material Design" into TouchWiz and hasn't changed much of stock Android 5.0's functionality in terms of features and UI. Samsung hasn't changed the look to Android 5.0 Lollipop's new card UI multitasking look and notifications. Samsung has been making good on its promise of upgrading as many smartphones as possible to Android 5.0 Lollipop, and now, Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 owners can finally get a taste of Lollipop.
Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 5.0 Lollipop software update is available for both the standard Galaxy S4 and its high-speed network Spark model.
