James Wan Set To Direct Warner Bros. 'Aquaman' and Sony's 'Robotech,' Says Report

Latest reports claim James Wan is in talks to direct Robotech, a movie from Sony Pictures. On top of that, the director is also said to be in talks with Warner Bros. to direct Aquaman.

James Wan is one of the many talented directors in Hollywood, so it comes as no surprise to learn that he is talks to lead two of the most anticipated comic book movies in the form of Aquaman and Robotech.

From what we've come to understand, Wan will develop the Aquaman movie after he's done with The Conjuring 2. Sony will have to wait until 2019 to gain the services of the director. We're not certain if the studio is willing to wait that long though, so things could change before long.

Wan is a man who is knowing for giving franchisees a good start, so it is likely a good idea for Warner Bros. to get him for their respective movies. Aquaman will be part of a huge franchise, but the film could become a franchise by itself. Robotech is already quite popular where animation is concerned, so all Wan needs to do is to get the millions of followers excited.

The director did an excellent job with The Conjuring, Saw and Insidious. All three films have gone on to warrant sequels. Saw has gone to become a franchise that will always be remembered for giving moviegoers the chills.

Before beginning work on Aquaman and Robotech, we can only hope that Wan doesn't lose his ability to deliver quality films along the way. We've seen this happen to many directors, such as M. Night Shyamalan and several others.

We look forward to seeing The Conjuring 2 and what he can bring to the table in Aquaman. Should he direct Robotech, we also hope to see what he is able to do with that film because it could be the most difficult of them all.
