Titanfall for Xbox 360 is not scheduled to launch until April 8, but that is not stopping several retailers from selling the game early to customers. The Xbox 360 version of the game should have been out from March, but it was delayed by EA, a possible move to allow Microsoft to shift more of its Xbox One video game console.
One lucky gamer on Twitter came forward to let the world know that he got a copy of the game from a Brazilian store, while users on the Titanfall blog posted images of the game they purchased from unknown retailers. In addition, anyone interested in the game can find it on eBay, readily available for purchase.
Bear in mind that if you managed to grab an early copy of Titanfall for the Xbox 360, you wouldn't be able to play the game. This is because servers won't be activated until April 8. So, at the moment, the game is unplayable at best, and there is no single player mode to give the Titanfall a test spin beforehand.
Gamers hoping to pick up Titanfall for the Xbox 360 should keep in mind that the game requires a 1GB install for systems with hard drives installed. That's not exactly huge, and quite expected since Titanfall is a multiplayer-only experience. However, by now, many Xbox 360 players would have limited space on their hard drives, so the task of considering what to delete will arise.
Titanfall is the first game from developer Respawn Entertainment. The team is made up of remnants from Infinity Ward, who moved on from Activision due to disagreements. The team's first game is exclusive to Microsoft systems, which includes the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PCs running Windows 8.
The Xbox One and PC versions of the game have already been released to smashing reviews from critics and gamers alike. So far, over 1.1 million copies of the game have been sold and the number is expected to increase on April 8 when the game becomes officially available on the Xbox 360.
The success of Titanfall has since forced EA to announce that Titanfall 2 is on the horizon. However, this new game will not be exclusive to Microsoft platforms.
