If you are a Marvel fan, you might be pleased to find out that Mother Nature is a huge fangirl.
This alien-like worm spits out what looks like webs just like Spider-Man, and it's super powers were captured in a YouTube video that is now going viral.
But just a warning, make sure you are not eating anything at the moment because this worm will definitely make you squeamish.
Looking like something should be in an Alien sequel, the video features the slimy insect, called a ribbon worm, which is placed on the palm of a hand. The worm, like Spider-Man, has a red body and spits out a white, web-like substance called proboscis. But instead of catching bad guys, this scary creature is on a mission to capture prey.
The ribbon worm uses its proboscis when hunting, vomiting a feeding tube sheath from above its mouth, which is thick and sticky. It contains mucus that has a neurotoxins that paralyze its prey. The white goo expands, and in the video, you can see the webs branch out on the person's hand.
The worm then slides on over to the white mucus, where within seconds, the proboscis is drawn back to the mouth and the snack would be devoured.
There are more than 1,000 species of ribbon worms, so it's hard to say exactly which kind this Spider-Man impersonator is. Ribbon worms can grow as long as 98 ft, and have a complete digestive track along with their unique web-like mobile nose.
While we are impressed that this alien-like worm can spit its inside out to swallow its prey, we'll be having nightmares all night.
