Amazon Prime members have given the green light to six new original programming series to be produced by the online retailer's Amazon Studios segment and the studio is welcoming back Alpha House for its second season.
"The After," "Bosch," "Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street," "Mozart in the Jungle," "Transparent" and "Wishenpoof!" will all be be given a full season run all due to the positive response the pilots received from people watching on Amazon. Amazon original programming is available to Prime customers only.

"We had a tremendous response to Amazon Studios' latest pilots-in fact, double the number of customers watched these pilots compared to our first season and they posted thousands of heartfelt reviews with pleas for us to continue these shows," said Roy Price, Director of Amazon Studios. "Now the fun really begins-Amazon will be working with some of the most talented casts and creators in the business to bring six new shows exclusively to tens of millions of Prime members worldwide. These series, along with our summer kids programming, will give customers a lot of viewing choices."
The new shows run a the gamut from an L.A. cop story called "Bosch," based on Michael Connelly's best-selling book series, "The After" by The X Files creator Chris Carter that has eight unfortunate people tossed together in a wild situation.
"Mozart in the Jungle" is a 30-minute comedy/drama about sex, drugs and classical music, that shows what happens behind the curtains can be just as interesting as what happens on stage.
"Transparent" is a dramedy about a Los Angeles family with serious boundary issues, starring Arrested Development's Jeffrey Tambor.
Amazon Studios has also lined up two new kids shows, Gortimer Gibbon's "Life on Normal Street" and "Wishenpoof !"
Gortimer is a live action show created by David Anaxagoras, a pre-school teacher and first-time writer who was discovered through Amazon Studios' open-door submission process. This process has so far had more than 6,000 movie and 2,000 series projects submitted to Amazon Studios.
