A new video of Nokia's upcoming Lumia 630 has leaked revealing the smartphone's specs and a look at Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update.
Nokia has scheduled a press event for April 2 and the company is widely expected to unveil some new Lumia smartphones running Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 8.1. It's unclear how many smartphones Nokia plans to announce at the event, but the there has been much speculation that the company could introduce the mid-range Lumia 630 and a couple high-end devices like the Lumia 930, Lumia 1525, and Lumia 1820.
The Nokia Lumia 930 is expected to replace the Lumia 920 and feature specs very similar to Verizon's just released Nokia Lumia Icon. The Lumia 930 is expected to be an exclusive smartphone for AT&T, just as the Lumia 920 was. The Lumia 1820 recently leaked and the smartphone is expected to ship with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and possibly feature a 5.2-inch 2K display.
The Nokia Lumia 630 will be a mid-range smartphone and we now know some of the device's specs and features thanks to a leaked video showing off the smartphone and Windows Phone 8.1 in action. The Nokia Lumia 630 in the video has a matte-black polycarbonate body and has adopted virtual on-screen Back, Windows Start, and Search buttons.
The video goes on to show us the new Action Center, which is Windows Phone's answer to Android and iOS' Notification Center. There's a new Podcast and FM Radio app and both the Video and Music Xbox apps have been separated into applications. Internet Explorer will now have a new Tab section and also an option to turn on private tabs. The Photos app has received an update and includes sections for All, Albums, and Favorites, while the stock Camera application has a redesigned layout.
When it comes to the Nokia Lumia 630's specs, the smartphone will reportedly have a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854. It will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, include 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It will pack in a 5-megapixel rear camera and feature dual-SIM support.
