We know Jurassic World's new big bad dinosaur, the Indominus Rex, is a genetically modified monstrosity. Super intelligent and outfitted with an astounding number of razor sharp claws and teeth, this is not the dino you want to mess with.
But Chris Pratt is a man without fear, and does just that in the latest clip from the upcoming summer blockbuster. The clip debuted on Ellen, so forgive the poor quality of the video below. We will swap it our for the HD version once an official clip is released.
We've seen bits of this scene in the two trailers for the film, as Pratt and a fellow Jurassic World employee flee from the massive beast. Pratt's friend is scooped up off the ground and turned into a snack while Pratt races for a massive set of rapidly closing doors.
One might think that reaching those doors would mean safety for Pratt's character. Nope. Indominus Rex does not care about your puny human doors and quickly smashes it to bits. Pratt does the smart thing and hides under a car.
Now do you see why it is a terrible idea to make a hyper intelligent killing machine just to sell more Jurassic World season passes? What did you expect to happen?
Oh well. The film certainly looks intense, and at some point you have to raise the stakes. Regular old T-Rex just isn't edgy enough for modern audiences. Jurassic World is in theaters June 12. You can check out an earlier clip released from the film here.
