HP Announces Pavilion x360 And Envy x360 Laptops With $500 To $900 Price Tags

Back to school: HP has taken the wraps off two new convertible laptop ranges. The Pavilion x360 and Envy x360 were unveiled on Wednesday, April 22, and are priced between $500 and $900.

The latest laptop convertibles from HP offer consumers better graphics and an improved processor and display options.

"Customers told us that they wanted more color choices, more hardware options and better battery life in our Pavilion notebooks and x360 convertible PCs," said Mike Nash, HP's vice president of product management for the consumer PC and solutions.

"With our 2015 Pavilion line up, we have combined bold new colors from Milan with the latest processors to give customers systems with a fresh new look that delivers better performance and battery life across the board."

The HP Pavilion x360 convertible laptop has up to 4GB of system memory and will come in two sizes: 11 inches and 13 inches. The 11-inch version will house either a Pentium N3700 or a fanless Intel Core M-5Y10c processor. Depending on the chosen configuration, the laptop will cost $409.99 or $499.99. The 13-inch version will house an Intel Core i3 processor and have up to 4GB of system memory. The larger laptop is priced at $529.99.

The 11-inch offers up to eight hours and 15 minutes and the 13-inch model provides 10 hours and 45 minutes of continuous battery usage on a single charge.

The Pavilion x360 laptops will be available on May 13 in HP's online store, and in retail stores on June 21. The 11-inch Pavilion x360 will come in four colors: Violet Purple, Natural Silver, Sunset Red and Minty Green. The 13-inch model will come in two colors: Natural Silver and Sunset Red.

The HP Envy x360 is not only a laptop — it can double as a tablet as well. It sports a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen display, a fifth-gen Intel Core i7 or Core i5 processor, up to 8GB system memory and offers battery support for 8 hours and 45 minutes.

The Envy 360x also packs in a USB Sleep and Charge port, which can be used to charge alternate devices such as a mobile phone — even when the laptop is in sleep mode. It is priced between $679.99 to $899.99.

The Envy 360x will be available online starting June 18. Retailers in the U.S. will begin selling the laptop on June 21.
