Watch 'Game of Thrones' Tywin Lannister Voice Act A Character In 'Witcher 3'

Game of Thrones' Tywin Lannister may have bitten the big one last season on another kind of throne at the hands of his dwarf son, but the actor who portrayed him, Charles Dance, has kept busy since that fateful episode.

Not only is Dance now starring in Syfy's adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke's novel Childhood's End, but he's also voicing a character in the highly-anticipated video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

In The Witcher 3, Dance portrays the ruthless Emperor of Nilfgaard. In the following video, we see Dance taking on the role in the studio as he records the lines for the character, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at Dance's experience working with CD Projekt Red, the game's developer.

"This is my first video game that I have performed in," says Dance in the video. It's a whole new world for me. It's quite exciting actually."

Once more Dance takes on the role of a very powerful man, a "man of few words: the words he speaks speak volumes."

Dance also talks about the popularity of fantasy now and how it's no longer children's entertainment (a lesson we're guessing he learned while working on the very adult fantasy Game of Thrones).

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn't out yet, but the game has already nabbed over 200 awards before its launch. The game features an open world setting where you take on the role of bounty hunter Geralt of Rivia. Gameplay revolves around Geralt's biggest contract: tracking down the so-called "Child of Prophecy," someone that can "change the shape of the world."

The Witcher 3 has also gone gold, meaning that the game is complete ahead of its launch schedule, something, which, unfortunately, hasn't been the case with many games over the past few years.

"We worked so damn hard over the past three years to bring you this game," say CD Projekt Red head Adam Badowski. "From the corrupt nobles in Novigrad to ancient monsters lurking in deep forests, to the bustling cities, colorful ports and breathtaking vistas; all the people, all the places--we literally spent tens of thousands of hours to turn all that into an adventure that will kick your ass and make you want to come for more."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases on May 19 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
