John Stamos, known for his role as Uncle Jesse, confirmed that Netflix ordered 13 episodes of the Full House revival called Fuller House that will be released in 2016 in an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday.
"We've been working on this for many, many years," he says.
Stamos will produce and guest star in the sitcom from Warner Horizon Television, Miller-Boyett Productions and Jeff Franklin Productions, with Jeff Franklin returning as the show's creator.
But if you still wonder whatever happened to predictability, you might be surprised to find out that the entire Tanner gang will not be living under one San Francisco roof again in Fuller House — although the plot line is not too far off from the original.

Her sister Stephanie Tanner, played by Jodie Sweetin, and best friend Kimmy Gibbler, played by Andrea Barber, along with her "feisty" daughter move in with DJ to help her raise her sons.
"As big fans of the original Full House, we are thrilled to be able to introduce Fuller House's new narrative to existing fans worldwide, who grew up on the original, as well as a new generation of global viewers that have grown up with the Tanners in syndication," says Cindy Holland, VP of Netflix Original Content.
While it pretty much is Full House only with the actors older and the gender roles reversed, fans of the original family sitcom will be pleased to hear that Dave Coulier and Lori Laughlin reportedly will make "ongoing" cameos on the revival.
Netflix also says there are discussions for have guest appearances by Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen to reprise their role as Michelle Tanner, and Bob Saget, who played the father of the girls, Danny Tanner, when the comedy originally aired from 1987 to 1995.
"The continued support of Full House fans of all ages for the last 28 years has been astounding. It is an honor and a thrill to catch up with these beloved characters and explore their lives today," Franklin says in a statement. "The love you saw on the show was real. The cast has remained a loving family offscreen all these years. We are as excited as our fans to finally bring Full House back to life."
